Mindful Coaching

Have meaningful conversations
that generate a sense of
ownership in others

Leadership, in its essence, is about achieving results through other people. Coaching is a particularly valuable leadership style because it unleashes the potential in individuals and teams and generates commitment and accountability.

Good leaders are able to identify coaching opportunities and, when they arise, make the most of them. They coach mindfully so they can build rapport with others.

Mindful coaches listen deeply and empathetically. They challenge by asking thought-provoking questions. They know when it’s the right time to give meaningful feedback, and how to do it in a way that avoids defensiveness and inspires action. Mindful coaches empower others to find their own solutions and make their own action plans.

What will your leaders be able to do?

Empower individuals and build agile self-directed teams through meaningful feedback, constant learning and strong accountability by:
  • Differentiating coaching from mentoring and other types of conversations
  • Actively listening and asking powerful questions
  • Having mindful, empathic coaching conversations that generate a sense of ownership in others
