Most of us spend a lot of time having conversations of one form or another, but some people are clearly much more effective than others at ensuring the conversations they have strengthen relationships and are productive, rather than waste time and destroy trust.

The good news is that conversations are based on a number of distinct skills – the five Super Skills – which means we can all become better. But that is not the whole story. Our ability to use these Super Skills also depends on our personality.
This workshop provides a structure and insights to improve the quality of conversations that an individual has in and out of work.  

What will participants explore together?

We need successful conversations
  • What does a successful conversation look like?
  • Why do we need them? Which skills are crucial?
Presence
  • What does being present look like?
  • What gets in the way?
Hyper-awareness
  • What's really going on inside of us?
  • How do we tune into ourselves and manage our responses? 
De-coding
  • How do we listen at a deeper level?
  • How do we manage assumptions?

Voicing 

  • How can we speak up respectfully? 

Flow control

  • How do we structure the conversation?
